Abstract
Based on our previous work, a hybrid differential evolution is proposed in this paper and combined with an adaptive trade-off model to solve constrained optimization problems. The proposed hybrid differential evolution adopts three mutation strategies to generate mutant vectors. Unlike the existing methods, direction information has been utilized in this paper. The proposed method is tested on thirteen well-known benchmark test functions. Our method outperforms or performs similarly to two state-of-the-art approaches in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.
