Abstract
There have been a number of harmonic currents detecting methods for active power filters, including the filtration approach by fixed frequency filters and the decomposition approach of active and reactive power components based on the instantaneous reactive power theory, and so on. In this paper, according to the adaptive noise canceling technology in signal processing and the distinguishing feature of neurons, an adaptive detecting approach of harmonic currents based on neurons is presented. The simulation results illustrate that the performance of the proposed approach is satisfactory
