Abstract :
A real elastic system, a dynamic train weighing system, is presented. It is necessary to find the steady solution of the system in a few seconds while a pulse force is applied to the system. There are considerable elastic vibrations and some noise. The nearest-mean filter with some compensation is used to find the steady-state solution of the system. More than forty dynamic weighing experiments show that the processing of the nearest-mean filter is effective. All of the errors are less than ±0.2%. It reaches the national and international standards of a train weighing system. The signal processing of the nearest-mean filter and the decimation narrowband filter are introduced to process the weighing signal during motion. They are very effective in improving the processing precision of weighing data in motion at different velocities
