Abstract
This paper describes a color measurement and control system designed to achieve the color uniformity for paper-making processes. The color control system utilizes online color measurements to control colorant additions to a paper making process. The article depicts a paper coloring process, on-line color measurement representations, a multivariable color-control scheme, and the implementation to manage color control for paper machines. The practical application results are also highlighted in the discussions
