Abstract :
This paper presents a novel method to calculated harmonic currents on both DC and AC sides in a three-phase bridge rectifier operating under pre-existing voltage distortion. In the proposed method, which takes account of the AC side reactances and harmonic voltages already existing in the AC network, the calculating equations of harmonic currents of both AC and DC sides are derived. Some practical rectifier circuits are calculated and the results agree well with test data. This shows the method proposed in this paper is more practical
