Abstract :
Web has become the major tool of e-commerce for the last ten years and it requires Internet corporations to provide personalized services by tracking and analyzing users´ visiting patterns. Web data analysis system (WDAS) is a necessary tool supporting the Web data mining and knowledge discovery (DM & KD) process. However, in the past, research on DM & KD always focused attention on algorithm of a specific mining, without the analysis on the establishment of a whole system. In this paper the authors demonstrates fundamental goals of WDAS design. After an introduction about the basic function of WDAS, the authors present the structure of WDAS which consists of users´ interface agent, data preprocessing agent, data mining agent, pattern evaluation agent, models and knowledge base and specific criteria for assessment of WDAS.
