Abstract :
Recently developed method of generalized eikonal is intended for obtaining 2-D analytical solutions of various diffraction problems including scattering by a half-infinite perfectly conducting scatterer with a dimensional parameter. The method is used in order to calculate scattering pattern of a half-plate with finite thickness. Analytical solution on a given curve surrounding the half-plate butt end is spread to other points of 2-D space with use of geometrical optics method.
