Abstract :
The fast development of wireless communication technology makes it possible to transmit datum, used for train control between train and ground through radio. The key question is the reliability of wireless transmission, especially in a high-speed railway. We firstly analyze the characteristic of a wireless channel in a high-speed railway environment. After that we analyze the reliability of wireless transmission for high-speed train control, set up the channel model, analyze the effect of train speed on error rate, and give measures to improve the wireless link performance based on the channel property. At the end of the paper, we give the method for deciding if the error rate satisfies the requirement for high-speed train control
