Abstract
Based on the Crank-Nicolson (CN) scheme, an improved alternating direction implicit finite-difference time-domain (ADI-FDTD) method is proposed. By introducing local correction, the proposed method reduces the splitting error while the unconditional stability and computational efficiency are maintained. Theoretical analyses are given.
