Abstract
In a competitive environment, selecting the right information system projects can be a key factor in sustaining the ability of corporate competition. Information system (IS) project selection problems are multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem. Existing methods for IS project selection does not reflect interdependencies among criteria and candidate projects. In general, many influence factors such as investment cost, return of investment (ROT), probability of technology success, and support degree of top management must be considered to determine suitable information systems. In this paper, decision-makers´ opinions are described by linguistic terms expressed in trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. A new algorithm is developed based on the fuzzy measure and fuzzy integral to deal with the information system (IS) project selection problems. Finally, at the end of this paper a numerical example is given to demonstrate the procedure for the proposed method.
