Abstract :
The propagation and scattering phenomena by grating waveguides are investigated analytically by applying a rigorous entire domain integral equation method. The basic advantages of this method concern the high accuracy, the numerical efficiency and the analytic computation of the integrals involved. Numerical results reveal the optimal gratingpsilas characteristics for maximum coupling efficiency as well as very narrow reflection resonances.
