  • Abstract
    The purpose of thiswork is to detect any infrared handheld remote control signals for all push buttons then use these detected signals for different applications. All the packet forms which transmitted from IR remote control have been introduced and measured in details using IR detector circuit and storage oscilloscope. IR remote control signal decoder and detector is implemented using microcontroller unit (MCU) and the transmitted code is detected in a very rapid and cheap way that help the designers and engineers. MCU has been used for generation of signal orders in conjunction with signals that transmitted by the handheld remote control unit. The MCU orders and its application is successfully demonstrated for office and home applications by controlling the light intensity. The work presented in this article can farther be extended for industrial, home, and office applications.
