Abstract :
A simple computational algorithm for determining a state-space model of a MIMO (multiinput, multioutput) discrete system from input-output data is presented. The obtained state-space model is in a pseudoobservable canonical form. Unlike all other deterministic identification procedures, the approach suggested does not require structural identification, i.e., determination of a unique set of observability indices. Instead, a MIMO system can be represented in pseudoobservable canonical form on the basis of a set of admissible pseudoobservability indices
