Abstract :
This paper describes the better shape design of the permanent magnet to improve the efficiency in the outer rotor type of IPMSM. Using the finite element method, characteristics of the modified motors are analyzed and compared with those of the basic motor. As a result, we have found the better shape design of the permanent magnet.
