Abstract
In this paper, a distributed controller is proposed for large-scale interconnected power systems, via cooperative model predictive control strategies. In the distributed model predictive control (DMPC), interactions between subsystems are considered, as well as that of the communication between controllers. To reduce the quantity of data transmission and decrease the storage space, the signal is quantized before transmission. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method is demonstrated by simulation of a four-machine two-area power system.
