Abstract :
This paper presents a new method of designing multivariable gain-scheduled controllers by combining the Nyquist array design method and the LPV modelling technique. What emerges is not only a simply structured multivariable controller, but one which by self-scheduling its dynamics as a function of the engine operating point, exhibits very good localized and global behaviors.
