  • Abstract
After eighty years of explosion of computer engineering in industry and extensive projects of computer integrated manufacturing, many firms start to deal intensively also with new organizational structures, form better utilisation of human potential and search a new ecological strategy in designing and operation of manufacturing complexes. In the effort to tackle the depressing ecological situation the authors analyse the negative effect of engineering manufacturing processes on the environment. They specify some measures to be taken to eliminate them, or to mitigate them at least. The authors also pay close attention to the mitigation of negative effects by means of zoning the manufacturing by ecological localisation, making use of the prevailing winds, green protection zones, counter-noise barrier, underground location of operation, etc
