Abstract :
The paper presents a novel energy efficient neuro-fuzzy speed regulation scheme for permanent magnet DC motor and separately excited industrial type motor drives. The scheme comprises two loops: a neural network based dynamic speed reference tracking regulator and a supplementary motor dynamic output power tracking loop to ensure optimal efficient utilization of the full DC motor drive system.
