Abstract :
This paper shows the results about an on-board power converter developed for a rectified AC power distribution demonstrator for a switching exchange. The nominal bus voltage of this architecture is rectified 220 VAC three-phase voltage. This 50 W module has to be compatible with the current 48 V architecture, therefore the converter has to work with very wide input voltage range from 36 V to 380 V and with the same footprint that the current 48 V module. A two-stage topology was chosen and the topologies used were a buck and a forward converter. To maintain the footprint the height has be increased. The overall efficiency at full load was higher than 80% and it was successfully integrated in system
