Abstract
This paper deals with the analysis and design of the single-phase basic rectifier with LC filter for compliance with the new edition of the IEC 1000-3-2 regulations (Edition 2.0). The results obtained show that the passive approach described here can comply with the required specifications if a proper inductor value of the filter is selected. Compliance with the new edition of the IEC-1000-3-2 regulation has been studied for those pieces of equipment which can be classified as either Class-A or Class-D. The results obtained have been verified by computer simulation and experimental results
