Abstract :
In the digital implementation, PWM pulses can only change switching states at some specific time instants depending on the system clock frequency. This yields a finite pulse-width resolution which can induce base-band harmonics. In this paper, a filtered SVPWM with pseudo-feedback loop is proposed for multiphase voltage source inverters to overcome this problem. The adoption of the filter implies the noise shaping effect of the produced phase voltage. By further incorporating the band-stop filter, the specific harmonic component is reduced. In the simulations, harmonic distortions of SVPWM with/without filter compensation are shown. Two band stop filters with stop bands [800 1200] Hz and [400 500] Hz are also applied as the shaping filter to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
