Abstract :
A genetic algorithm (GA) approach is presented for reconstruction of the non-minimum phase response of chirped fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). This is a very relevant problem in optical communications, as well as for the integration of FBGs in sensor network systems. The GA approach has been endowed with adaptive capabilities specifically tailored for this problem, in order to achieve more accurate results.
