Abstract
In this paper, a photovoltaic (PV) system which is connected to a distribution grid is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink. The photovoltaic module is modeled with Lorenzo mathematical model. A DC/DC boost is used to enhance voltage up to the favorite level and a SPWM inverter connects it to the distribution system. There are several controllers which their tasks are power flow control and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). Simulation results are validated with a well-known real characteristic of SPR-200-BLK module. Simulation results show that the model can be used for analyzing the photovoltaic system connected to a distribution system with high accuracy.
