Abstract
The paper proposes an alternative paradigm for bringing new products, more quickly and cheaply, to market. A key concern is the perceived innovation deficit which, it is argued, exists in many organisations today and a particular emphasis is placed upon those industries which manufacture relatively high volume, low cost products. The parametric evaluation process is outlined and a simple example is explored using data from the white-goods industry
