Abstract
For a study of vehicle dynamics in a long train formation of superconducting Maglev system, we conducted test runs and examined dynamic behavior of a train set consisting of five-car units, which was the longest formation at the Yamanashi Maglev Test Line. The plan of extending and renewing of the current test facility of the Yamanashi Maglev Test Line is going on. For the duration of the extension of the current test facility, a preliminary study of predicting vehicle dynamics of a train in a long formation is necessary and useful for obtaining a foreseen estimation. In this paper, we made an analysis on the relationship between vibratory displacements of adjoining car-bodies and bogies in detail in order to estimate the behavior of vehicle dynamics of a long train formation. In addition, we pointed out several characteristic features of this system.
