  • Abstract
    Making the CNC machine tools perform efficiently and smoothly, there are many techniques for the acceleration and deceleration of computer numerical control machine tools. Though the simple trapezoidal speed planning is the popular way, it has some shortcomings can not be avoided. Indeed the other advanced methods can overcome it, but the more complicated problems will come with it. This paper proposes an advanced approach for improving the velocity profiles, constraining the jerk, further smoothing the trajectories planning. According to the original velocity profiles, using the proposed algorithm, dividing the whole velocity profiles into many small parts. While the big trapezoidal speed planning will be used to fit the small parts.
