Abstract
In this paper, a phase identification system (PIS) is designed for phase measurement of distribution transformers. To synchronize sampling signal of PIS between substation and distribution transformer, the 1 pulse per second (1PPS) signal of the global positioning system (GPS) is used to synchronize PIS before phase measurement. To verify performance of PIS, the field test has been applied for measurement of distribution transformers to identify their phases. The results are used to correct the corresponding attributes of the Automated Mapping Faulty Management (AM/FM) system in Taipower.
