Abstract
Event detection probability in WSN is complex under probabilistic sensor model. It is cumulative result of many sensors in the vicinity. Coverage hole in which the cumulative event detection probability is less than 90% can impair WSN monitoring capacity and sensibility. The mobility capable sensors can repair coverage holes by moving to appropriate locations. In this paper, we propose a hole repairing algorithm based on probabilistic sensor model(PHRA) to repair coverage hole. This algorithm finds coverage hole by cell scheme, the size and location of hole, schedules appropriate mobile sensors to repair hole, makes the hole completely covered at the least energy consumption and energy balancing in the process. Simulation result shows that this moving algorithm can effective eliminate coverage hole and get higher capacity of event detection.
