Abstract :
This paper expounded the significance of live working technology for electric power systems outage-free maintenance, and introduced live working techniques for electric power line maintenance, especially, introduced the first robot system, DWR-I, for 10 KV power system line live working maintenance. Then, on the basis of its current development situation in our country the paper point out that the primary live working for 220-500 KV transmission power lines will be outage-free condition maintenance, the new technique of live working by using helicopter for 330-500 KV transmission power lines in mountainous region is a considerable method in the near future. The mechanization and automation level of live working for electric power distribution systems up to 10 kv will be improve by using aerial device, especially, we should develop the robot application to electric power distribution system outage-free maintenance as soon as possible, so as to meet the development of China´s power industry.
