  • Abstract
    The purpose of Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) is to help prevent accidents caused by Controlled Flight into Terrain (CFIT) and it is also an airborne electronic equipment to guarantee flight safety. Among all functional modules in EGPWS, awareness alerting module plays a key role. Based on the design of terrain database and the awareness alerting modes, the mathematical model of awareness alerting module are brought forward. On the basis of terrain database we designed, three awareness alerting algorithms are deducted and their efficiencies are compared with each other. The research on EGPWS in the paper plays a significant role for EGPWS development.
