  • Abstract
    A new type observer for a motion control system is developed and applied to the self-sensing control of an AC-servo motor by estimating the rotor position with the observer. The proposed observer does not need any dividing operation by using the structure similar to the quasi-sliding mode observer and is suitable for DSP applications. Furthermore, since it uses the projection scheme to estimate the estimation error, it has a high flexibility for the selection of the measured variables.
