  • Abstract
In order to avoid the phenomenon of the disorder and facilitate the decision-making, the traditional TOPSIS model should be improved. First, set the virtual program corresponding to the virtual positive and negative ideal point. The minimum or the maximum of the property value of alternative programs constitute the virtual program. Virtual programs are only related to the property value of alternative programs, but not connected with the number of alternative programs. Thus the virtual positive and negative ideal points have nothing to do with the number of alternative programs. Second, generate the improved decision-making matrix including virtual programs and original programs. Empirical results show that the improved TOPSIS model can sort the existing candidates after deleting the virtual team members and it does not produce the opposite sequence. Then it can be proved that the improved TOPSIS model can preserve the order.
