Abstract :
The general model of military software support cost is built and analyzed. Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) is divided into two parts, one is Software Running Support (SRS), the other is Software Maintenance Support (SMS). The cost of SRS is broken down into units and the general expression of SRS cost is put forward. The COCOMOII (Constructive Cost Model) is introduced. Then, it is improved to be adapted to the military software support. The procedure of estimating military software support cost is simplified, and the estimated result is accurate for the decision maker.
