  • Abstract
An experimental ejector refrigerant system is designed and constructed to study the performance of HFC134a as working fluid in this paper. The influence of evaporator, generator, and condenser temperatures on the system performance is studied. The experimental results demonstrate that the entrainment ratio, cooling capacity, and COP of the system increase with increasing of the evaporator temperature, and the COP increases with increasing of the generator temperature over a range of operating conditions. In addition, the influence of condenser temperature on the performance of ERS has been investigated. The results show that the COP keeps constant first with an increase in condenser temperature, and drops down rapidly at the critical point of the given generator temperature. When the generator temperature equals to 78degC, the critical condenser temperature is between 32degC and 33degC, and when it equals to 85.5degC, the critical temperature is about 35degC or so.
