Abstract :
The application of GIS has outranged the original field. GIS education is developing flourishing today. According to the characteristics of the GIS course, we propose our course design based on SuperMap. All the correlated theories, algorithms, processes and results can be demonstrated and expressed by using fundamental experiments, comprehensive experiments and designing experiments. The problems occurred during the teaching are analyzed. In conjunction with our teaching experiences, the idea of course design, the teaching objectives, contents and modes are discussed, aiming to better teaching and learning performance. The purpose of these discussions is to improve the effect of teaching and enhance the competitive ability of students.
