Abstract :
The brightness temperature data and NDVI data of Guangzhou urban city, what were used to study Guangzhou´s heat island effect, acquired from TM image. The conclusion as follows: the high brightness temperature area include Liwan district, Yuexiu district, Haizhu district and so on old city, nearby Guangzhou train station rail line, Baiyun airport area, Tianhe passenger depot, both sides of Tianyuan road, Huangpu road and neighbor Pearl River road. (2) Guangzhou urban city including business center district, inhabitant quarters, factory district in the whole is the group of heat island, on the contrary, the suburb countryside take the green as the background; (3) the brightness temperature have tendency to reduces from the town center to the suburb, but the city heat island interior has the rich detail change characteristic; (4) partial heat island strong peak does not appear in the Guangzhou town center, but is concerns with the factory spatial distribution.
