Abstract :
Summary form only given. Brightness uniformity is one of the most important qualities for LCDs. As LCDs become more popular a higher brightness uniformity is desirable, but the uniformity is inspected or evaluated by sensory evaluation. The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of human sensitivity of brightness uniformity, and to propose a criterion to evaluate brightness uniformity for LCDs.
