Abstract :
The paper-making process is very complex, there exists long delay time, grievous nonlinearities and time-varying parameters. The paper presents a neuron model-free control method in which the neuron gain is regulated adaptively for the paper-making process. This procedure can control the process with long delay time and great range of open-loop gain variation efficiently. The simulation results for a complex paper machine is satisfying, good performances in robustness and adaptability are obtained
