Abstract :
This paper develops a new method to characterize the harmonic distortion of analog-to-digital converter (ADC) using Volterra series. We use Gaussian white noise as the test signal and an orthogonal method to determine the Volterra kernels, when considering quantization noise. This method is not influenced by the quantization noise, which is a serious problem when using the DFT method to measure very weak harmonic distortion
