Abstract :
A state-space formulation of multi-variable model predictive control has already been developed. In this existing method, inequality constraints on the manipulated variables and outputs are satisfied as in Quadratic Dynamic Matrix Control (QDMC) (1985) and related algorithms. However, this control strategy does not take it into account the existence of dead time and, consequently it can not be applied to systems featuring dead time. So, in this paper, we propose to modify this optimal control method and to make it possible to accommodate dead time
