Abstract :
Hybrid electric locomotive is a new “green” train in railway traffic development, which have great energy saving. This paper presents a secondary development of ADVISOR software, and builds a hybrid electric locomotive model which includes six motor sub-models and axle load transfer sub-model. The control strategy of hybrid electric locomotive takes handle position control mode, controls the output power of engine and motors based on the required power of the train, and the charge and discharge of battery group to ensure the change of SOC between the right bounds, at the same time makes the engine work in optimum area, so decreases the fuel consumption effectively.
