Abstract :
A numerical algorithm of a Poincare map is proposed in the paper. Based on the proposed mathematical model of a permanent-magnet synchronous motor, the chaotic phenomenon of a PMSM is analyzed by means of a Poincare map. From the simulation, the Poincare map of the PMSM can concisely exhibit its dynamical behavior. Thereafter, the existence of chaos in PMSM is proved
