Abstract
The use of microreactor chips, which can increase the reaction efficiency of conventional chemical experiments, has become a very popular option over the recent decade. Microfluidic devices for chemical synthesis are designed with the goal of maximizing the surface area for reactant mixing. Here we explore the liquid-liquid mixing in microchips designed for chemical reaction applications. Various parameters such as the state and viscosity of the reactant fluid are carefully considered since they affect the flow rate and interaction during the reaction. Different flow rates were used to induce better mixing and reduce backflow.
