Abstract
This paper briefly examines the evolution of a relatively new, technically advanced, high-tensile strength electrical power cable design for underground and open pit mining applications as well as a new cable mounting bracket for underground mineshafts. A new power cable system that virtually eliminates undesirable electromagnetic field emissions and significantly reduces voltage drop is also reviewed.
