Abstract
A self starting low power voltage regulator circuit having single amplifier for gain stage of bandgap reference and error amplifier for driver stage is proposed. The proposed circuit is well suited for low power applications as it consumes only 10uA quiescent current for a full load current of 1mA and uses only 150pF of on-chip decoupling capacitor. It is implemented in TSMC 90nm CMOS process. The line regulation is 140μV for 1.8V to 3.6V supply variation and the load regulation is 50μV for a load current variation of 10μA to 1mA. Detailed simulation and silicon results show the proposed voltage regulator circuit´s functionality.
