Abstract
The paper discusses practical reasons that lead to difficulties in achieving desired results when teaching information systems (TIS) are applied in practices. A component model and an acceptance model for effective teaching activities are provided. Discussions focus on system design, cognitive load, teacher acceptance, learner acceptance, and systematical approaches in practical applications. It is the key for successful applications of a TIS that the system, the learner, and the teacher are truly integrated to each other.
