Abstract
New accelerating sections have been designed and constructed to increase the beam energy in the 2-GeV electron linac. The authors describe the choice of the accelerating structure, and also the results of computations and tests. The average accelerating gradient obtained is above 20 MeV/m for a 4.3-m section length
