Abstract :
The acknowledge(ACK) packet feedback failure will make the parent nodes to do unnecessary idle listening in the schemes for the unidirectional data gathering tree application in wireless sensor networks, such as the More-to-Send scheme and the data prediction scheme. In this paper, aiming at this kind of power waste problem, we propose a time threshold scheme which can adjust the work state sequence of the parent nodes dynamically in the additional slot by the ACK feedback failure probability evaluation and the time threshold setup. The simulation results show that the time threshold scheme can reduce the idle listening time of the parent nodes observably, and improve the energy efficiency of the wireless sensor network.
