Abstract :
Constructing a robust and natural virtual environment is very necessary and important for the research of virtual reality. This article propose a generic virtual environment platform-a prototype system for visual simulation oriented virtual environment platform based on DirectX SDK, it supports features like model import, scene edit and so on. The prototype system is descried in mainly two aspects: architecture and implementation, referring to some key techniques: such as import of mesh model, collision detection based on oriented bounding box (OBB), self defining script.
