Abstract :
In order to research and development a novel antibacterial material which is used to deal with the drinking water, few-layered grapheme/benzalkonium chloride composite was prepared by introducing different content of quaternary ammonium salt into layered graphene, and the resulting composites were characterized by the FTIR, XRD, TGA and TEM. And minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was used to investigate antibacterial activity. The FTIR, XRD and TEM data show that benzalkonium chloride is intercalated into layered graphene. Combined with low cost, such materials should have wide application to drinking water treatment.
